I have had about 100 water/beverage bottles over the years. This is definitely my favourite. It keeps the water cold in my hot car for hours. The other day I made hot tea and left it in the bedroom while I was working in the office. A few hours later I went to my bedroom, remembered the tea and drank it. It was still hot. Unlike my other stainless steel water bottles, this bottle never fizzes on the outside, so I can put it anywhere without fear of damaging my documents. The pressure is still fun. Even if you hold the bottle upside down, not a drop escapes. The lid is all stainless steel - no unsightly plastic to contaminate my water or hot beverages. The fixed ring not only serves to secure the bottle to bags and your bike, but also to provide torsional leverage when opening the slightly expanded/contracted mismatched metal at the junction of the cap and body. And thankfully, the company offers a plain silver unfinished bottle — free from the nasty scars of the spray-painted versions. The product states that it is food grade stainless steel, so we believe nothing unpleasant will ever come into contact with our food or hands. I rarely give 5 stars to products. Only if they really exceed what I expected for my money. I love this bottle so much I've saved the company's contact information for future purchases and will be ordering another while they're still available. If a water bottle can be said to be "perfect," then this is the best representation I've ever seen.
