Type of review

I have a whole house's worth of 25 year old shades with cords on the most used shades starting to fail. I used this 0.9 mm cord to fix a couple of my blinds and they work like new again! I bought 100 yd of this cord and it ought to be enough!I've read reviews here about the size of the cord and I can confirm the 0.9 mm cord is the right size as advertised. The proper way to measure is to wrap it firmly 10 times around a pen or pencil and press the loops together and measure the span. 10 turns…

Pros
  • This is the greatest twine I have found for restricting day night shades in the RV. EXCELLENT PRODUCT.
Cons
  • Limited color options available

Does not hold up for blinds

If you are buying this for blinds, don’t bother. I’ve burned through this entire roll in a couple years repairing the same blinds because this cord breaks every couple months. It’s smooth and looks nice and would work for other applications, but can’t withstand the repeated abrasion of opening and closing blinds.I have another set of blinds that came with our house that has had the original blind string for 20 years and it’s never brokenBuy 100% nylon, not this kind with cotton core.

Pros
  • Can be used as a drawstring for clothing and bags
Cons
  • May require special care or attention to maintain longevity

super easy, works great

Replaced the cords in a roman shade that broke and this new cord works great! Only took a few minutes to take the shade down and restring it. Very happy with the product.

Pros
  • This was the perfect color and string to repair my blind. Shipping was adequate during the shut down.
Cons
  • May be prone to breaking or snapping

Worked well in “up-down, down-up” blinds.

Arrived quickly in good shape and it was easy to use to restring (although restringing an up-down, down-up blind is a challenge.) I used these collapsible eye needles for the restringing, and that worked very well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E5XTWG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1We’ll see in 10 years how well the cord hold up.

Pros
  • Can withstand exposure to sunlight and other elements
Cons
  • May not be as resistant to wear and tear as other cord options

Great value on my review.

I needed to replace the cord in an expensive mini-blind that broke. I ended up replacing all three cords, not just the broken one. This was the first time I've attempted replacing cord in a blind and it made me realize I wish I would have done it a lot sooner with other blinds I've trashed. The cord is exceptionally strong and re-cording was not the hassle I anticipated. I'm sure I'll be ordering more in different colors as the need arises.

Pros
  • Available in a range of colors to suit different preferences
Cons
  • May break more easily under high tension or pressure

Quick delivery.showed up the next day.very pleased with the quality

Roman Shades needed re-cording.was not sure of size so I bought this size and another one from you 1.8 mm.this one was to thin but the other one worked wonderfully and was able to re -cord my roman shades - so much better quality than the original ones that came with the shade. I think they will hold up much longer. Thank you.

Pros
  • Made of high-quality polyester material
Cons
  • May require more time and effort to master than other options

I did the research for the size needed for my blinds and this was perfect fit. FYI as a quilter I have used this type of material before for corded binding and those this product did not state so, I preshrunk the cord by wetting it and ironing it dry. It did shrink, but then they all will no mater what brand. After the old blind I was restringing had been in place for a few years I noticed the cording had shortened. As a result the blind did not go all the was down when closed and I had to…

Pros
  • Ideal for repairing damaged or broken cords on mini blinds
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain craft materials or adhesives

High quality, good price

Seller takes this seriously and contacted me to make sure all was well with the product. Product came quickly, the cord is strong and easy to use (on a spindle :)). I needed to repair our Hunter Douglas honeycomb? blinds and this fit perfectly.

Pros
  • The cord was just what I needed to repair a favorite wind chime. Was easy to use and knotted easily.
Cons
  • May be difficult to work with for beginners

Nice color best in my review

This cord works very well and I'm especially happy that it came in colors other than white. I used it for Roman shades in the kitchen.

Pros
  • Soft to the touch, making it easy to handle
Cons
  • May not be environmentally friendly or sustainable

Used on fabric pleated shades

I ordered the 0.9mm lift cord and found it a perfect fit to replace the frayed cord in my Pella pleated between window shades. I had ordered a larger size at first but they accepted the return (thank you) and got this today and repaired my shades in about an hour. This seem high quality and I can't tell it apart from the original cording that I took out. I have had my windows for about 25 years so I hope this last that long also. Great price and color match is spot on. Thank you for a great…

Pros
  • 6.4 ounces
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all DIY projects

Worked great to repair blinds

This string worked great to repair an older blind. The string was easy to replace and it matched well with the blind. I couldn’t find the same blind so I though I’d have to either replace all the blinds in that room or have one different blind. This saved me a lot of money.

Pros
  • Can be cut to custom lengths as needed
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain surface finishes or coatings

Works Great as Clock Weight Cord

I'm using this in a Seth Thomas No. 2 regulator and an E. Howard No. 5. Perfect size and shape. I bought the chocolate brown and it's absolutely perfect. This is a nice product.

Pros
  • Comes in a large spool for convenient use
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain types of blinds or window treatments

High quality lift cord

We have a few dozen pleated shades that are raised and lowered daily so I'm used to restringing. In the past I've bought lift cord from a local blind repair shop and was not happy with the quality. I then started buying from a Web store that specializes in blind parts and found their cord as good as the original. When I needed more I was surprised at the price so I checked on revain and based on the positive reviews I purchased SGT KNOTS for a try. I'm very pleased so far with the quality, feel

Pros
  • LENGTH / WIDTH / COLOR - Our Roman Shade Lift Cord is offered in 100 yard spools. Blind/Shade Cord width options: 0.9 mm, 1.4 mm, and 1.8mm. Available in six color choices: Almond, Chocolate, Fawn, Ivory, White, and Raw Umber.
Cons
  • May require special care or maintenance

Great product and service

This is strong, well made cord. Used it to restring 3 large Roman shades and they work great. The cord is so smooth that it improves gliding through screweyes and rings. Delivery was free and fast, even without Prime. I'm very satisfied.

Pros
  • Can be used for mini blinds, curtains, and other window treatments
Cons
  • May not hold up well under repeated use or handling

Great value, holding up well so far

Our house has a number of aging roman blinds installed by the previous owner. We use this cord to keep them all in working order as the old cords wear and break. It is really convenient to have a whole roll of this available for a fraction of the price of buying a few yards at a time from the fabric store (which is what we were previously doing.) So far it's holding up well.

Pros
  • Suitable for various crafting and DIY projects.
Cons
  • May not be as widely available as other craft supplies

Thinner than I wanted but seems sturdy; nice color

The main problem with restringing blinds is that they're all different to string but this cord was easy to work with and -- after three weeks of use -- seems sturdy. Was worried that because it was thinner than existing (frayed) cotton cord it might not catch in the cord lock, but it seems to hold just fine. Some twisting at first from being wound on the spool (even though I tried to straighten it out) but I assume that it will relax over time. Raw umber is good color match with bamboo blinds…

Pros
  • SK-LC-1.4mm-100-Ivory
Cons
  • May require special tools or accessories to work with

So many colors to choose from. Just what I needed.

My husband and I recently bought a boat and we now live aboard. One of my projects has been to clean and repair the drapes. They are not mini-blinds. I needed to restring the drapes so they can be raised and lowered. One of the things I appreciate about SGT Knots Polyester Cord is the wide selection of colors offered. I was able to perfectly match the color of the drapes. It's a little thing, but it means a lot to me. Also, the price was great. The quality great. And, I received the item in 2…

Pros
  • Easy to thread through small spaces
Cons
  • May not be as versatile as advertised

Restring your blinds

My husband was able to restring all the wood blinds in our dining room with this product. I was looking at replacing them which would have been custom. They look just like new and we are very happy with this product and our results. Restring took about 15 min. each. Thanks !

Pros
  • Cost-effective and affordable
Cons
  • May be prone to tangling during use
