They work for their intended purpose. They are packaged in 10 bundles of 100. I was a little annoyed to find that on a couple of the bundles the hole punched for the doorknob was off center. I was very skeptical that one filter could change our horrid municipal water into useful drinking water. Surprise! Our Brown water (for real) that has a terrible smell and taste, comes out crystal clear and tastes fine. No more buying bottles of water!
