I was very skeptical that one filter could change our horrid municipal water into useful drinking water. Surprise! Our Brown water (for real) that has a terrible smell and taste, comes out crystal clear and tastes fine. No more buying bottles of water! Ice is now crystal clear and doesn't foul the taste of beverages. There are two of us, don't know how long the cartridges will last. The cost vs. bottles of water we come out way ahead. It does drip after use, but I've found that if you turn off the diverter first it will only drip 2 - 3 drops. Still trying to figure the best place to set it so the dispenser tube does not get knocked around, it is a bit on the flimsy side. Can't seem to get through to the "free first filter replacement offer" but it's really not worth the stress. Overall, a small investment I should have considered a long time ago.
