I've been using epilators for decades. I've probably had every brand since the very first Epilady with the creepy spinning coils. Because of the German development, I had high hopes for this Braun model. I bought my first one in August 2015 for $130 and had to replace it 3 years later, this time for $98. Now, less than 2 years later, the second poops too. By the time I'm ready to bite the bullet and get a new one, that means my current one has been on the mend for months. It would cost me $110 to replace this model and I can't justify it. The battery just doesn't last long enough given the price of the item; and of course there is no way to simply replace the battery. If it could be used corded/while charging I'd take it - I used to have a model like this from another manufacturer. But no dice, so I'll cast the net for alternatives.
