This weed barrier is a lot more flowy than ones I've tried before. That provides some flexibility with the placement though it does make cutting it more difficult. My older weed barriers had to stay in a roll until used since it was so rigid but after my little barbarians got to this stuff, it was in a big jumbled mess in the garage.I think it works just as well though time will tell. I really can't say how long this will last before weeds break through. But it was easy to cut with standard scissors. Another brand I tried frayed at the ends and left strings when I cut it. This one is more like fabric than plastic. It's heavy enough to lay flat until it's covered with mulch. I'm optimistic.

First, someone else said they received the wrong dimensions. Mine was as advertised, 4 feet wide x 50 feet long.However, this is very thin stuff.My local hardware store organizes landscaping fabric by longevity - Standard is 10 years, Superior is 15 years, Professional is 25 years.This stuff is on par with the economy, which is 5 years max. However, it's priced 3x more than my local hardware store. For this price I should be able to find a heavy duty name brand.

This is a durable fabric garden weed preventer that allows rain and manual watering to penetrate to the plat roots. I have mine fastened down with garden staples, but rocks or boards also work well. My wife placed some in her flower bed this spring and covered it with a layer of pebbles to hold it in place, and enhance the appearance as well !

Used this to replace a barrier that had ripped. There is plenty of material, so I doubled up for this project. Very easy to maneuver and make cuts. Even water did not penetrate this barrier. Will be using this product in a few other places that I am keeping weeds out.

This weed cloth is a soft cloth, not a plastic feel like some. When it cut it it doesn't unravel It's a thick enough cloth that it has good coverage and makes removing weeds much easier. It's a good size for my project. You may want to purchase stakes to hold it in place. I used rocks for mine as they are part of my landscaping project.
