This adapter works very well. Installing the SSD into the adapter was fairly easy and no tools were required. I had a bit of a hard time inserting the SSD into the adapter pins, but after realizing I had to insert it at an angle, this worked much better. With this adapter I was able to get a 1000MB/s read speed with a USB-C cable with my SSD, which has a read speed of 1700MB/s when installed on a computer, so the adapter is very fast. The read speed with the USB-A cable was only 500MB/s, so a USB-C cable should be used if possible.
