Almost immediate drop in vent temps averaging 25+ degrees Fahrenheit compared to my Dell E5540 i7 (has gotten really hot lately, I'll probably need to take it apart and clean it) The non-contact thermometer peaked at 122 for heat vents .8 F seconds before I slipped this device underneath and 96.6 F 60 seconds after. It appears to be built fairly well, neither flexible nor wobbly. One of the fans may have some balance issues and I've only used it for a few minutes so far - I'll edit my review if anything changes. (Now the maximum vent temp is 86.0F, five minutes later. Realistically it could be worth a delta of 30*F+.) It's much quieter than my fridge two rooms away, I can only hear the fan hum above the noise of the refrigerator, the fans stop at maximum speed. It's probably an order of magnitude quieter than the HEPA filter I have in my bedroom (not on turbo mode, just de-allergen mode). I'm sensitive to noise but if he was working next to me on the bed he certainly wouldn't disturb me and the puppies sleeping. As long as it lasts I'm very impressed.
