Very happy with these on the initial install and quite hopeful they will last. The last number plate cover I got from another supplier also worked fine but the hardware has rusted a lot over the year so I put it on. These components appear to be of much higher quality. Only time will tell how well the screws and the lid itself will hold up. I'm hoping the printed carbon fiber over plastic over aluminum holds up well in terms of both fading and no chipping - again only time will tell and I'll update the review if I see any deterioration in the years to come see in any aspect. I LOVE: * Attractive carbon fiber print goes great with my gray metal car * Cover fits snugly over license plate so it still fits in a tight spot on car - large covers can fit some cars but can be a problem on vehicles with tight license plate spaces * A good anti-rattle solution with a medium-density foam pad that you attach to the license plate itself. The combination then slides into the lid behind the tabs below. Good for preventing rattle when closing the trunk or hitting a bump.* Both self-tapping screws and standard bolts are included so you can use the option that works best for you. license plate through the cover base and then snap the carbon fiber painted covers onto the base. You keep safe. [Only time will tell if the caps chip or fade - like my previous supplier's caps] * The screws appear to be of better quality than the screws from my previous set (another supplier) so I hope they don't corrode like the old ones. * Cases did not cover my registration stickers or anything else critical. This is a nice border, but thin enough not to obscure important elements of the license plate (thus causing law enforcement problems). WHAT I DON'T LIKE: Having my own screwdriver to get the torque I need for quick and easy installation. I could use this tool if I had to, but it would be a bit more difficult and take longer. Use your own tools if you have them (but I think it's a good fallback for those who don't have tools). SUMMARY: Overall my first impression is that I am very happy with these carbon fiber license plate frames, they were easy to install and looked great. I'm still thrilled if they last many years in our harsh New England environment with lots of rain, snow and sun.
