After much experimentation and applying what we know from working with other cameras, we managed to make the camera usable. There is virtually NO documentation for the camera other than instructions on how to turn the camera on and off, insert a memory card, install and charge the battery. I don't think I would call this camera "user friendly". However, once you blindly hit the "I wonder what it's for" learning curve, the camera takes some decent photos and videos. Children are fearless, so it may be easier for them to just push buttons to see what happens.
