Review on πŸ§– Lady Esther Purposeful Face Cream 4 by Dana Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A lesson in how face cream has changed since the '40s.

My grandmother mentioned that her mother always used Lady Esther. I am obsessed with antiques and study things that have been used in the past. Also, my grandmother has beautiful skin, just like her mother. I bought this primarily for a vintage face cream jar to place on my vintage vanity. The price was great. The packaging was disappointing as I didn't realize when opening it from the clear plastic lid that it would rip the iconic name from the bare tin. The cream has no smell, just the smell of oil/fat. Used multiple times as a cleanser/moisturizer. But I would rather use Jergens Face Cream / Cold Cream. Or any other face cream, to be honest. Smells like it was made years ago. Interesting to look at but wish it was at least a decorative container from the past.

Pros
  • also understandable for old people
Cons
  • for pensioners
