In sum, a worthwhile investment for the problem it solves. It is difficult, in my opinion, to find a membrane keyboard that is functionally equivalent to a mechanical keyboard in terms of versatility and comfort. Almost by itself, this is an accomplishment. It's the closest thing I've found to a laptop keyboard for a PC, so I bought it to play around with. Advantages that vary Short-travel, low-force soft keys. Superb for long periods of typing. Very stable tabletop presence; the object is heavy and has rubber feet. Two USB ports on the side allow you to attach peripherals like a little flashlight aimed towards the keyboard. Compared to the key backlighting, this is considerably more practical. When pressed, the keys produce a soothing, non-irritating sound that can even be used for meditation. Negative aspects: Tough choice. Due to the lack of a resting point for the finger, typing for extended periods of time can be painful. As it turns out, there is some small effect. Perhaps you need to adjust your typing technique. There was evidence of double compressions. It wasn't complete silence. The jangling continues, but the keys aren't too annoying.
