Excellent 2.1 speaker + subwoofer

This speaker amp works very well. I hooked up 2 x 6 ohm 120w speakers and a 130w subwoofer and they sound great. SUMMARY: I had a 5.1 surround sound system (2010 model) but the receiver died. The speakers I had for this were connected using bare speaker wire compression connectors (no banana or RCA plugs). This amp had the connections I needed for these speakers. I bought some banana plugs to help set it up (I would recommend this one). I'm not an audio expert so I can't tell you how it performs as a home build amp for an audiophile setup or how amazing the sound quality compares to other products on the market. I can tell you that this was the ONLY 2.1 amp I could find for the speaker and subwoofer I had. Build quality is simple and not flashy; but it is solid and looks like the picture. It doesn't get hot like my old receiver. It's quite small so it can either be great or not so great - so it's up to you. It's about the size of my palm. I would recommend this amp. At the same time, the sound quality suits me. I only needed 2 speakers and a subwoofer for my PC and this amp drives them perfectly. It is rated for power up to 200W and 12 ohms. I listen to music and watch videos through the speakers, but play all games through the headset. The system gets damn loud, the subwoofer too. (Obviously it's not as powerful compared to 5.1). But you understand why I got it. Read the instructions first before connecting it to your power supply. It comes with an AC/DC converter (just like your laptops) rated for 19V DC. Of course, a lot of energy initially flows into the capacitors. So connect it to the amplifier and then to the wall. Not the other way around.
