Honestly this is the best purchase I've made all year. It costs next to nothing. It attaches to your table. It plugs into your computer (haven't tried it yet) or into a power outlet with an included USB charger. I wouldn't have the lamp if it weren't for some great reviews. I love how little it costs. It's bright enough to change the light level on my desk with 3 bulbs in the ceiling light (low wattage to save electricity). This allows me to keep my overhead light on without worrying about the cost and now I can have more light right where I work without having to switch to hungry overhead lights. NOW 3 light modes is great. Warm, semi-warm, semi-cold and cold bluish light. I hate when the blue light is on when I'm doing something because it makes me really tired. I don't have any scientific study to back this up, but I fall asleep instantly under blue light. So I use more yellow-orange light (warm) to increase my cortisol levels! I've tried mixed light, it's not that hard and a cool light to use when I'm relaxing from a work call or working on paperwork and have to go to bed soon. Legally, that's a really good light. You can adjust the brightness up and down in 10 levels for each of the 3 modes. It doesn't look like a premium $50 model, but it doesn't have to be either. It attaches to your desk and stays out of sight (most of the time) and more importantly, out of the way! I wish I needed a different lamp and would buy it again. Can work well as a bedside lamp if you can find a good hanging spot. With 10 levels of brightness I would find it great for reading, especially as you can change the light tint so it works well for paper or e-books I think. BUY if you are on the fence. I paid real money for this, not a computer. I'm just thrilled because it's a steal at $12.99 and includes first class shipping. I didn't expect to pay a penny less than $19.99
