UPDATE: Bought and installed in winter. It's warmer now, the stickiness no longer holds him and he falls. I LOVE everything pink. This phone holder has a very strong grip. I have a pop socket on the back of my phone case (which I will never use again on my next phone) and it still holds it in place. I was concerned it would start to slide sideways since it's top-heavy in vertical mode, but it stays upright and stays in place. I've only used this in the winter and have only had it in my car for about 2 months. However, there have been some warmer days, so I'm hoping the absorbency and sticky hold will remain as strong as before in the summer. I haven't tried holding the phone horizontally while holding it in place so I don't know how it will stay in place as it's heavier on one side due to the pop-up connector. The color is perfect. I was worried the sun would bounce off the jewels and distract me while driving, but that never happened no matter what direction the sun was shining on my car. Hope that helps!
