That's what I expected. He is very spongy. I bought this in a hurry for my sister's birthday party in Hawaii. I confess that I didn't read the description and didn't see that it was paper but I thought it was plastic. In fact, this is a scissor cut taped to a skewer. The paper is still sticking out at the edges. This is an item I wouldn't pay more than $2 for. In the evening I will run to the store to look for a replacement and return it.
