I really liked the collar, I have a 5 month old Shilo Shepard who is considered a giant breed. I wanted to start him young and skip the jumps and pull ups as he will grow to almost 120 pounds. I found the metal barbed collar to be too intense as these dogs have lots of fluffy hair and large heads but relatively small/thin necks. In general, the search for a correction collar was not easy, as the recommended martingale collar is only suitable for moderate training. my puppy or makes me feel abusive. He walks in heels like a pro and has reduced his jumping ability and I only use him occasionally, I don't keep him on all the time, he doesn't need it, he just needs a few corrections and he's a really fast learner. I gave it a 3 for "easy to use" because I poked my finger pretty hard when trying to remove the link.
