Strong static noise is good for in-ear headphones

I got this as a gift. After a few months, the earphones start making a harsh static sound with every movement. They are uncomfortable to say the least, the sound quality is not very good. These are cheap headphones that you can find in the store for $15. But for some reason they cost $30. Luckily they were free.
