Use indoors only! in Ethernet cables

I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. The outer armor of the cable collapsed in the sun on the roof in a matter of months. Then the rain came. With that internal shrapnel in the cable, he kept the outer armor open like a giant water pipe. The rain dripped several stories INSIDE the cable, the pressure pushing the water up through the properly installed drip loop and straight into the PoE switch like a giant straw shorting it out. The RJ45 connectors were so charred that at first I thought the customer had been struck by lightning. When I then lowered the cord below the level of the drip loop and cut the end, water began to flow out of the end of the cord. On the attached picture you can see that the water flowing through the cable has shorted out the PoE switch.
