I really like this shoe organizer, but it stops at like - I definitely don’t LOVE it. It has several amazing features that are almost perfect for what I was looking for…there are lots of compartments that are big enough to fit a shoebox in every slot, and there’s still room on either side of the box to tuck things into the sides.It’s well made of average quality materials, and the design is kind of brilliant in the way it all comes together. I ESPECIALLY love the fact that there’s a front flap that you raise and lower that, when closed, hides everything in each cube from view. Your shoes/shoeboxes/whatever you decide to put in this can’t get dusty bc it’s enclosed. If you, like me, don’t have a closet and/or anywhere to store your shoes, this is a huge improvement over having to see towers of shoeboxes stacked up everywhere. It almost looks like a piece of heavy furniture (like a dresser) from a distance.One thing that really surprised me is that the entire unit is made of the same material used in roller window shades. That’s definitely not something I’ve ever seen before! The material is surprisingly sturdy, and the flap easily opens and closes. It’s very easy to clean/dust off, even if you’re dry dusting (like with a swiffer).As mentioned above, this is NOT the easiest to assemble. There are a lot of pieces, and the directions are vague at times. They consist more of pictures than any worded explanations of each step, and in some of the images, it’s hard see which direction the smaller pieces should be.This comes in either black or white, but the black wasn’t available when I ordered this. That was a bummer bc my bedroom furniture is all black, and the white looks very out of place. I’m also not a fan of white in general bc you can see every speck of dust, smudge, and imperfection so much more clearly with white than with black. That’s a personal preference, though, so it shouldn’t be held against the product.This is definitely an amazing idea, design and concept, but if you’re looking for something that’s super easy to set up and/or assemble, this is not for you! For everyone else, I absolutely recommend this, just be aware of its limitations!
