Love this car seat. I have one in every car. Pretty decent for the money. It's narrow so it takes up less space in my Forester, allowing two people to ride in the back seat. It was a huge comfort boost when we received it when my son was two years old and well stocked. It's fairly easy to take apart and wash, much easier than the Graco car seat I had before (and my son vomited a lot so I did this a lot) and so far it's washing well. However, it has some disadvantages. The buckles are quite tight and sometimes difficult to unbuckle. I've had another one for a year now and it doesn't get better with use. There's also a serious learning curve when it comes to installing it backwards. It's a bit of a nightmare the first time, once you adjust the strap things get a lot better. It's difficult to even figure out how to do this, though, as the rear-facing camera instructions seemed almost non-existent to me. At one point I thought I had made a terrible mistake and accidentally gotten a forward-facing seat. I think the forward-facing setup was a lot more thoughtful because it's so much simpler. Also, the weird thing about this particular color is that it has weird dark spots when washed. Not like stains, but like the color washes out. This is starting to look kinda bad. But in the end it's a very good car seat for the money. I won't be switching anytime soon and have bought two! UPDATE: I've had this seat for about a year and my little one finally reached the maximum rear-facing position so we flipped it forward. WOW. I like this car seat much better. It mounts easily forward-facing and fits perfectly on our Enclave and Forester seats. It is secured with a harness or anchors and is still comfortable. If you're buying for a forward-facing child, it'll be much more convenient.
