This case offers truly full coverage for superior protection with only the underside of the detachable mechanical key showing. It's definitely a stiffer case than a soft silicone case, but it's not hard ABS either. Unlike many other key fob cases, all front buttons (clear), side mechanical key release button and logo on back (clear) are fully covered. The optics are also pleasant and solid. One caveat is that this case is actually functionally designed for a 2 button fob and not a 4 button fob. It is indented for the 2 front buttons "Lock" and "Unlock" with a comfortable click feeling. However, the other two "hatch" and "panic" buttons have the same thick coating as the case body (it's just transparent) and are pretty hard to press (no click is felt). Similarly, the side release button of a mechanical button is also fairly firm when pressed/released); hence 4 stars. All in all (hard keys aside) this is a very nice case with full protection. Again, it would be really cool if they made a functional cover specifically for a 4 button key fob.
