Overall this is a pretty good value bookcase! I like that the colors of the shelf top and bottom. So much DIY furniture doesn't have a finish on the bottom and I hate it so this is the star for this bookshelf. Assembling it alone was fairly easy, although keeping the side racks straight and not leaning when screwing on the shelves was a little annoying. I'm glad they gave you extra hardware because some of the plastic pieces that fit into the holes on the shelves were deformed. Another downside to this shelf was that the holes in the metal weren't fully punched so I had to use needle nose pliers to take the knocked out piece and pry it out of the frame or my screws wouldn't go in. Everything else went smoothly with the build and I assembled it in about 45 minutes. My carpet wobbles a bit, but I think that's partly because our foundation isn't level. Whoever is there! I love it for the price I paid!
