I first bought the medium sized "LUCID 10" Gel Memory Foam Mattress" on its own and found it too firm for my liking. I'm 25, I weigh 170 pounds, I don't think so like I'm obese or something but I wanted the mattress to "give" a little more It just seemed too flat Looking back I should have just bought the medium plush version of the mattress After a couple of weeks of constant searching on Revain I decided to that this "Lucid Combo Mattress Pad" would be the most comfortable solution! This keeps the gel pad in place which I've heard can be an annoying problem, and gives me extra comfort with a cotton mattress pad. It would be the best of both worlds, with maximum comfort.God how wrong I was.Well, something like that.I found both really comfortable,almost new mattresses.He had a pleasant return and I felt he was hugged by a blanket.However I found exactly that. It's very hot in the arms of a cotton blanket. It's been almost a month now and every day I wake up in a sweat, just too hot and not worth the extra kicks. I live in Colorado, it's summer and it's too much. It's from a guy who grew up in swampy Florida. In any case I will remove the cotton mattress pad, contact the company and replace it with a regular bed sheet and just use the gel mattress pad. I will keep you up-to-date. I think this is the best solution unless you live in Antarctica, Alaska or elsewhere and want extra heat. (Also, using a cotton pad leaves weird checkered marks on the bed.) Anyway, hope this helps!
