This is a very well made decorative ladder. It was extremely easy to assemble and took a little under 15 minutes. Based on how it was packaged. I’m thinking mine was a return. Two screws were completely stripped. Luckily there were 2 extras. But one didn’t go in all the way and it’s on the side you can see. Super annoying. Also the pads that are supposed to keep it sturdy and not scuff your wall were completely removed and covered in packaging and unable to stick again.From far away it looks fine but I know it’s defective. These were not clear coated and smooth. They had a rough texture which might snag finer knit blankets. I ordered it with Prime shipping and it still took 3 weeks to arrive because it was shipped from another country. Which is fine if they would have stated that it would take that long up front. Ladder came unassembled but thats helpful as it was boxed nicely and was easy to move into the installation location. Instructions are very clear and all tools provided including a small wrench/screwdriver but install will go more quickly with a real screwdriver. A couple of smallish issues:1) Like others reported, a couple of holes just don't line up in the end no mater what you do, this is not going to bear weight other than blankets so its not a big deal, but something to be aware of. This was a pretty good blanket ladder - a Christmas gift for my daughter. There was a pretty strong chemical smell when I took it out of the box. Not sure what that was, but it dissipated over time. Some of the stain came off on my hand while I was putting it together, and the wood is kind of rough. For these reasons, if it were mine, I'd put a coat of polycrylic on it before using it, so that the stain or splinters wouldn't ruin blankets. Offered to do this for my daughter, but she was fine…

Each rung of the ladder is secured by 4 recessed bolts with half-inch brass heads. A company that cared about the appearance of the finished ladder would have provided plugs to fill the holes and hide the 20 bolt heads. No such plugs provided here, and the result is a generally crappy appearance.

I like the ladder, and was really looking forward for it to come. When I was assembling it I realized they did not put a topcoat on, so the stain was coming off everywhere. There’s no way I could hang my white blankets on it without them getting destroyed. Pretty disappointed, it was not cheap and now I have to go spend more money and time and figure out a way to seal it.

Noticed a piece of the rail was chipped off and one of the adhesive rubber bumpers was fallen off with a good deal of styrofoam stuck to it from the packaging material when I got it out of the box. Had to scrape away the styrofoam pieces to get it to re-adhere to the rail that protects it from scratching the wall. Update: After leaving my original review, I was contacted by the seller about the condition of the product I received, and they sent me a replacement for free. I finally was able to open it and assemble it, and the finish is much cleaner. We also received all of the correct pieces, so the two tones of the ladder now visually make sense. There are still a few chips in the wood in different places, and the rungs aren't completely even on the edges, but overall what we received looks much nicer…

Bought as a replacement for a different blanket ladder that had broken. Light but thick sanded wood, very "rustic style". Easy to put together with a drill, the finish (although sanded) was rough and not sealed.got a splinter within the first 5 minutes of putting it together. Don't put expensive blankets on this unless you paint and/or clear coat as they will snag. Would prefer to have something covering the bolts on the sides as well.

I like the size of this ladder, however it is not in anyway "premium” quality. I have shards of splintered wood everywhere. My hands are black, from the stain used. There is no clear coat as described. Some of the holes were WAY too big for the screws (there are two rungs with only one screw on one side as a result). Good size, solid and easy to put together. However while putting it together my hands turned orange and wiping it with a rag resulted in the stain rubbing off onto the rag. We sprayed it with a clear coat of paint to keep it from rubbing off on our blankets and that worked, but beware. Don't put grandma's antique quilt on it without checking first.

I ordered 2 of these. One was a gift for my daughter. The images shows what was in her box. Notice that there is wood putty on one side! The adhesive pads for the feet were in the parts bag with the yellow protective sheets partially off. There was one adhesive pad stuck to one of the side rails, and NO adhesive pads actually stuck anywhere they were supposed to be. Honesty the picture does no justice! I was very hesitant to buy it. We all know we think we are getting some good quality and then amazon sends it and you’re like, Really?!? Flimsy. BUT THIS LADDER is very sturdy, made of real cedar wood, that’s al I could smell as I was putting it together. It was super easy to put together! I’m excited and very grateful for this purchase! The assembly was easy. The product looks good. You have flexibility on the sequence of where you put each rung (i.e. you can put the best looking one in the top position where it's visible), and you can also flip them to expose the better looking side. Very stylish and looks great with my decor. It did have a little bit of a paint smell while I was assembling but was gone within an hour or so. I was worried about the finish, thinking it might be rough but it’s actually very smooth and out blankets slide off and on easily. I was a bit disappointed in the quality for what I paid but it serves it’s purpose. I would not recommend. Could potentially collect moisture or mold.
