I bought this unit to add to my existing 5 phone system. I don't have a big house, but I have many rooms and two very noisy children. An additional telephone completes my communication system. Now I can call and yell at my kids in another room without even getting out of bed. Unfortunately, they also call me to complain about all sorts of things. This whole system greatly reduced the need to yell from room to room. The presence of the Bluetooth function is also great. I love that I can leave my cell phone on and answer the phone in any room when it rings. It helped me a lot when I called my daughter's cell phone. We never answer our home phones (lawyers) and since she isn't cell phone obsessed, he's never in the same room as her, she can finally hear him ringing on any phone. Voice alert and distinctive ringtone are great features that we all love.
