Review on πŸ”₯ Stay Warm on Your Ride with Volt Resistance 12v Motorcycle Heated Gloves by Tim Blandin

Which Rayno? - Accessory

UPDATE: It's been about 3 years since my purchase and these gloves still work perfectly. They still heat the entire hand from wrist to fingertips and for some reason have never stopped heating. An adapter to connect these gloves to a wireless tender is available from both Cycle Gear and Revain should you need one at the last minute. These gloves run a bit small. Usually the large size is a little tight and the XL size is too big, but the XL volt gloves fit perfectly. I've tried every imaginable combination of liners and insulated gloves and the only option was heated gloves. I have Raynaud which means my hands are always cold anyway and riding without a shield and grip cover can damage my hands if I'm not careful. Other riders will wear their summer gloves when they're 50 with no side effects, while my fingers will look like shriveled plums from the lack of blood flow. The glove liner combined with the ridiculously thick insulated gloves made little difference and resulted in me cutting the engine as I couldn't feel the clutch position. One of the great things about these gloves is that they are actually motorcycle gloves. I feel like releasing the clutch or accelerating. No more killing him at traffic lights. They fit over my riding jacket and are easy to tighten with one hand in 3 places to keep the wind out. As for the heating function, it is much better than I expected. It has 4 settings that are hot to the touch, very hot, too hot to the touch, and melt meat. At temperatures up to 40 I use the first level and my hands stay nice and warm. Once it freezes I use the second setting and usually have to alternate it with the lowest setting to get comfortable. I haven't had to use any of the highest settings, but so far I've only ridden in temperatures up to 30. I dress on cold days and my hands are the only thing I haven't been able to warm up to now. Currently I just plug them into my battery tender's quick disconnect and make sure to unhook them when I turn them off. Bicycle. The SAE adapter required a female coaxial cable.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Good but not great
