Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ HTC VIVE Pro: Unleashing the Ultimate Virtual Reality Experience by Athit Athit แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

In the end, it was not clear to me by resolution - the picture looks good because everything under the hood is scaled, or you can set it up even better, or the vive didnโ€™t finish something there, and the top features will still be inaccessible. A bit not the impression that I expected from a helmet for such a price, but otherwise I am satisfied with the device. In the VR game market itself, many worthwhile projects require finishing for themselves - for example, Vivecraft or SkyrimVR - until you spend a day collecting mods, tuning configurations, shaders and textures - you get a normal experience.

Pros
  • The main advantages in performance characteristics: The pixel grid can only be seen with great difficulty, the picture is 2k for each eye with a normal viewing angle, the helmet is quite light with good headphones, good tracking, no lag.
Cons
  • A little buggy and not trivial software. A meager viive store, a flawed trial subscription in which there is not a single interesting game. Bitsaber, Alex and other things need to be bought. Full resolution 2k eye mode requires DSC. For me, it did not appear in the valid ones through the console, although AMD Vega 7 supports everything. According to VIVE support: "Turns on by itself after 10-15 minutes of play"? Maybe there the built-in ML does upscaling, but it sounds suspicious. If you google the forums, it turns out that when playing through Steam, it measures the performance of the headset and writes statistics in json that need to be edited in order to enforce the full resolution. - Due to the type of screen and lenses, there is additional light and glare. - Side buttons on controllers are easy to accidentally press.
