Danger! DO NOT BUY! The CD player is a Class 1 laser device.

This CD player is advertised as safe in the product description and then has scary warnings in the manual. It states: "This CD player is a Class 1 laser product and emits visible/invisible laser beams which may result in hazardous exposure to radiation. Laser beams can cause permanent eye damage." Why would you make a child's toy that is a Class 1 laser device and can cause permanent eye damage and radiation? And why is this product even allowed to be sold on Revain? Please buy this product to…

Everything was fine but.: Karaoke machines

Everything was fine. We really wanted a CD player for our son who enjoys reading CD books and singing film music. The sound was fine. The color is pleasant. My son loves the shape and overall design. What didn't work was the battery operation. We used new batteries, it didn't work. We bought another one thinking maybe it was just the batteries we put in that had been swapped out from new ones for other old ones. But the new ones we bought still didn't work, they only work when plugged in…

Overpriced! Terrible speakers

The sound in the speakers is terrible! My phone speaker sounds better. The microphone cable is too short. The wire only stretches about 20 inches, but since the CD player doesn't weigh very much, it can be taken off the shelf immediately. When plugged in, it's very annoying. (If you plan on using batteries and carrying them around since you're using a microphone, the short cord doesn't matter if you have toddler-sized arms.) A vertical-fronted CD charger isn't that easy for a toddler to DIY. I…

Disappointing gift

I have spent a lot of time writing songs onto a USB stick for my granddaughter. We're disappointed that only a few of the same songs play over and over - most of the songs on the USB drive are skipped for no reason. We checked all the settings, tested many times and it just doesn't play all the songs. It plays the same multiple songs regardless of whether it is set to "all" or "random" songs. Even hitting the skip button (which should skip that particular song) results in the same few songs…

Cons
  • Only available in black

OK - I didn't like two things: 1) If I only carried a CD player with me (like small children do), the CD would often jump. Again, that's the main reason I'm sending it back. 2) The sound from the microphones through the CD player was not very good. I barely heard myself - when I did - it was distorted and difficult to understand. What I liked about this product is that the front panel controls were very kid friendly, easy to use and understand and the accuracy of the CDs themselves was…

Worked for a good month.

I gave it to my 4 year old for Christmas, his older siblings got normal MP3 players. It worked very well on batteries for the life of a battery pack or about a month. Tried to use it plugged in, doesn't work. Replaced batteries, doesn't work. Tried connecting new batteries, still doesn't work. And since I bought it a month before Christmas, the return time had expired when it stopped working. I am very disappointed and so is my 4 year old. My only complaint about the product's design is that…

Nice musical toys for kids!

Great little player. My 2.5 year old loves to use it. The fact that there is an independent volume control for the mics AND that you can turn the mics up louder than the music is pretty cool. I remember having a tape recorder with a mic when I was little and the only way to hear my voice through the mic was to pause the tape. So your kid can easily use this as a mini megaphone. Maybe it's not that great now that I think about it, LOL! It has a few seconds of anti-pass, which is nice. Like any…
