Other reviews are right, this one ONLY powers a USB 3.0 port. So if your case has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front, this will not fully work for you. I could live with that, hence the 3 stars. However, this device also causes power state issues. After my computer was on for 5 minutes, I was greeted with a BSOD code "Driver Power State Failure". The only change on my system was using this plugin. After disabling it, my computer is now working fine. So that cable was, to a large extent, the catalyst. Possibly due to the hacker nature of using a port it wasn't intended for. In general, if you have a mobo with no 3.0 ports and a front panel with 3.0 ports, just accept that you have 2 fewer USB ports. That suits me quite well since the ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VIII has a whopping 11 of them on the back. I didn't need the front slots, my OCD just wanted all ports to work.
