Review on Ivilon 24-36 Inch Black Tension Curtain Rod - Spring Rod for Windows or Shower with Enhanced SEO by Chris Knight

Not as bright brass as expected

I hate pull rods in general. They are difficult to install and then after a while they fall off and you have to do it again. I kind of vowed to myself I would never buy a home that didn't have built in rods/shower glass doors, but somehow I ended up with a bathroom that needed a rod. I got this one because the bathroom has a lot of other brass parts and I wanted to match it. Unfortunately, this is a darker/matte brass than I was hoping for. It still looks good but the pictures online are a little lighter than what came. That being said, it's actually a pretty good pull rod due to the spring action. You pick it a little more than the gap you're covering, then squeeze it, set it in place and let the springs do their job. It's been running for a few months now with no problems and seems to be more reliable than any other drawbar I've ever used. I don't know why springs aren't included by default. They solve problems with tension rods.
