Fantastic, especially for the price. I use my Dodge Ram V-10 to clear snow, which can be disastrous for automatic transmissions. Now I can monitor how hot it gets and let it cool down if needed. My gear seems to hover between 120 and 155 during "normal" driving. It gets to about 190 on long drives in heavy snow. I stop plowing hard at this temperature to allow it to cool during normal driving. I had a local trans. The shop plugged the sensor into a connector on my transmission and I hooked up all the electrical. Finding all the necessary wires wasn't easy, but I managed. The only downside, as mentioned by another reviewer, is that it's too bright even though I plugged it in so it dims with the headlights on. I'll try dimming the display with some sort of film on the display like others have done. A great investment to save thousands of dollars on transmission repairs.
