Everything was fine - fairly quiet, moving air well, remote worked well so there were no issues changing speeds/modes - until I unplugged it and put it back in the Box stuck A little work was done in my office. When I plugged it in a week later, it just wouldn't turn on. No display, no response to the buttons, no beeps it made, nothing. There has been no damage during the time in the closet (doesn't bother, under anything, no falls, no moisture), all sockets are in good condition and working, nothing sees or smells from the power cord or is blocked, so there have never been short circuits. It just died out of the blue after 3 weeks of use and 1 week of safe storage. I now have a $100 brick and to make it a fan again I would have to pay all shipping costs (probably another $30-$40 round trip given the size and weight) to see if the manufacturer can fix it, and then trust that it will actually do it afterwards work at the right time. I'm just sad that it ended like this after such a promising start. I think this goes back to finding a decent quiet fan.
