This is a huge arena. Ideal for parties with several children, day care centers, church kindergartens. Anywhere you want your child to have space to explore and safety. We use ours to play outside. It's not exactly "quick" to set up, but for an all-day walk, it's great to know where baby is, as long as you look away for a few minutes and know they're safe. Also ideal for small animals such as kittens, puppies or rabbits. It is 79 inches long, slightly smaller than a standard 80 inch mattress. 71" is wider than a 60" queen mattress but not big enough for a 76" queen mattress. You could probably throw the double mattress in the playpen for a nap or a jump. But it can probably handle a queen-size mattress if you don't mind it sticking out, or if you can find a cheap mattress that's "smaller". We love it. will be easier.
