Good. Would be better when baby is a more advanced walker

My 12 month old is really timid when it comes to walking. He'll take 1 or 2 steps and fall. And he'll only do it when mom or dad is there to catch him. I got this so I could help speed up his walking skills. I've used it a couple of times on him now. But what I noticed is that he just puts his entire body weight on the wings and in turn I think it may be hurting his armpits a little bit. Which is why I think this is better for a more advanced walker. This would be great for avoidance of falls or

  • Baby Products

Makes baby and parent comfortable

When our baby started standing up, I held him under the armpits and helped him walk while supported. It's not the most comfortable position to hold over the long run - for me or for the baby. This harness distributes the support over his whole torso using a durable foam-padded soft wrap-around chest piece connected to nylon web belt and soft loop handles for the adult to hold. The loops can be adjusted in the length to adapt to your height. There are no pressure spots so this makes wearing the…

Pros
  • Engages babies physically and mentally during the learning process
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for babies who are learning to balance on their own

Moms say they love it.

I bought 2 of these (1 pink and 1 blue) as gifts for a couple of new mothers that attend the school where I work. Both said that they truly like them and that they help loads when teaching their toddlers to stand or take steps. Neither mom has come to me with any complaints or concerns.

Pros
  • ‎Unisex
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for babies with weaker leg muscles

Therapeutic Intervention Tool

I use this for therapeutic intervention to assist a child in learning to walk and or tolerating weight on his legs and feet. Another tool to assist a child who may be developmentally delayed. Check with you physical therapist before using it on your child though!

Pros
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with babies who have already developed a fear of walking

I felt like we were dragging her a long

My daughter was born with very low tone and we were told she would never live an independent life or feed herself. Fast forward to now and she's walking at 2 years old. She is a but unsteady overall, but doing remarkably well and most people don't notice her "lag". We've been to all sorts of therapy, used many tools, but this just did not work for us. She had very low town in her shoulders it rode up on her and forced her arms up. I felt like we were dragging her a long. I don't want to

Pros
  • Helps children develop their motor skills and coordination
Cons
  • Could potentially cause the baby to develop a dislike for walking altogether

I thought this would be better. The body of the wings end up too high and I feel like it's too close around his neck. I think it would be perfect if there were a strap that was attached to the base of the wings through the baby's legs preventing it from riding up. I didn't use this too much because it looked too uncomfortable and the baby cried when he saw it coming. lol

Pros
  • Enhances the parent-child bond during the learning process
Cons
  • Could be seen as unnecessary by some parents or caregivers

Your baby can get hot wearing it

I bought it for my parents, since I don't want them to get a backache holding their granddaughter. It is easy to use, but since it has a lot of padding, your little one can get hot wearing it. So the grandparents didn't really used it much.

Pros
  • Reduces the risk of falls and injuries during the learning process
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in crowded or busy environments

Very helpful for my opinion

The Walking Wings are well made and feel like a comfortable, quality product.I found the Wings to be of limited value early in the walking stage. As other reviewers have mentioned, baby will try lean too far forward if you allow them to do so.I have found these to be most helpful later in the learning stage when baby only needs assistance from one hand. This device really helps you to catch them before they fall which can otherwise be difficult when you're only holding one of the hands. It has…

Pros
  • Provides a safe and secure environment for your child
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with babies who are already suffering from injuries or impairments

Loved it! for my opinion

I normally don't write reviews but I loved this product! My son was 16 months old and was strong enough to walk on his own, but didn't have the confidence to actually let go and try it. After only using this product for a day he started walking on his own! I couldn't believe how well it helped him. I would recommend this to anyone with a child struggling with confidence to walk on their own. I only wish I would have bought it sooner!

Pros
  • 100% COTTON, machine washable, and dryer safe
Cons
  • Could lead to frustration for the baby if they are unable to move around as freely as they would like

Great for your back!

This is so great for that in between time when all they want to do is walk holding on to your fingers, but your back hurts to bend over for so long. I would have given it 5 stars, but it would be nice if there was a bit more support for the chin/neck/shoulder area - my niece LOVED it and was so happy to have her hands free.

Pros
  • Helps babies and toddlers develop their walking skills
Cons
  • Could potentially cause the baby to trip or fall if not used correctly

Bought for my Special needs son

Our son has numerous special needs (DS, ASD, epilepsy and a whole bunch of other stuff)and he has been in therapies since he was 6 weeks old. He is now 8 yrs old (although he is still VERY small)and we are still trying to get him walking on his own, without using his medical walker and without breaking our backs. I decided to just order this and see if it would help him gain some confidence in his walking ability. So far it definitely has! He would get really nervous when we would walk holding…

Pros
  • Versatile design fits with any child's clothing style
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with babies who are already experiencing developmental delays

Overall very good! good for me

We bought this item when our son was about a year and a half old and was not walking yet on his own. He has global developmental delays, we have yet to have a diagnosis and he is turning 3 years old next month. It was wonderful to help us in the process of working on his therapy. I highly recommend this, especially if you are working with a child who struggles to walk.I gave this four stars because as helpful as it was, I found my back hurting because my son would lean forward therby pulling at

Pros
  • Encourages bonding between parents and children
Cons
  • Could potentially cause the baby to develop an aversion to learning new skills in the future

Simple making but good use

The design is simple but quite good enough to protect the kid studying walking, will lend it to my brother's girl. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • REDUCES PARENT’S BACK PAIN: adjustable harnesses reduce the need to bend over, lessening parent’s back strain during the learning to walk process
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use outside on uneven terrain

DOn't waste your money

I have a daughter with CP. I thought this would be good since it has taken us longer for her to learn how to walk and bending down to help her is not fun to do for longer distances. Plus I thought it may help her confidence with walking without having to hold a hand. This thing is really not needed for the typical kid, given the length of time it takes to go from walking with help to walking solo. but for a special needs kid who may be stuck in that phase for a long time like our daughter I…

Pros
  • Rec' by PT for baby...he hates it but we know it's good for him.
Cons
  • Could potentially cause discomfort or irritation for the baby

Great quality for my opinion

Love it, my daughter struggles to get balance on her own to walk so this is a great help. Highly recommend That's my feedback!

Pros
  • The perfect gift for new parents looking for an easy way to assist their child in walking
Cons
  • Could potentially cause the baby to feel embarrassed or self-conscious while using the harness

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great idea. but just ok

The idea of this is great, but do not use for special needs or low tone kiddos. It does not help lift their core. It will pull up under their neck and arms too much. For typical babies/toddlers, use would probably be fine.

Pros
  • Encourages healthy physical development in children
Cons
  • Could potentially cause a choking hazard if the baby tries to put the harness in their mouth
