Review on Blue UpSpring Baby Walking Wings: Handheld Harness For Babies And Toddlers To Learn Walking Skills by Sonya Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought for my Special needs son

Our son has numerous special needs (DS, ASD, epilepsy and a whole bunch of other stuff)and he has been in therapies since he was 6 weeks old. He is now 8 yrs old (although he is still VERY small)and we are still trying to get him walking on his own, without using his medical walker and without breaking our backs. I decided to just order this and see if it would help him gain some confidence in his walking ability. So far it definitely has! He would get really nervous when we would walk holding his hands and would always want us to pick him up. Now he just starts walking, trying to get to whatever toy he sees across the room. I showed it to his physical therapist today and she LOVED it as well. She plans on ordering some for the kids she sees. We have had no problems with it all. He sees it come out and automatically raises his arms to put it on. It is padded nicely and the straps were already at just the right height for us to start walking! It is a little snug in the arm hole area but it wasn't meant for an 8 yr old and I have a sewing machine to fix that with when the time comes. I wrap it fairly snug around his torso because the snugness calms him and helps him stay centered and focused. So far we love it and I would recommend it for babies and special needs kids as well!

Pros
  • Versatile design fits with any child's clothing style
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with babies who are already experiencing developmental delays
