I am very impressed with this stabilizer. I have a pair from Feiyutech designed to work with my smartphone and DSLR, but until now I assumed that a small action cam like the GoPro would be too light to mount on a gimbal with this joystick design to use. For some reason I assumed that a camera with some weight would be better for gimbal stability (because my DSLR's gimbal works much better than my smartphone's gimbal), but I couldn't be wrong. This thing stores videos of my hero. 8 is as stable as if it were on a solid tripod. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's very smooth. The design is relatively simple compared to my (significantly more expensive) Feiyutech gimbals, but with a GoPro you want simplicity because it saves weight. With the GoPro installed, the complete rig still weighs less than 1kg, making it small enough to fit anywhere in my bag. In terms of features, Hohem doesn't quite come close to Feiyutech. My G6 Plus can run a GoPro and has a small but comfortable screen, while the Hohem has no screen and less comfortable controls. On the other hand, my G6 Plus sells for 80% more than Hohem and both seem to be very durable, so I'd like to say that Hohem offers a bit more bang for your buck if you're on a budget.
