This was the most frustrating humidifier I have ever owned. These are: - made very cheaply. The plastic is similar to that used in milk cartons, but is slightly stronger. Bad design. The "top fill" mechanism gives you ZERO information as to when to stop filling this thing and it's impossible to tell from the outside how much water is in it. The small window is not illuminated and almost always looks black. Also, it only sticks out 5 centimeters at the top, while the entire container reaches to the bottom, making it beyond useless. It is clear that this small indicator is only for show - the floor will be wet. If you try to fill this humidifier and accidentally fill in too much water because you can't see how full the tank is, the humidifier has three small holes on the back that allow water to flow out onto the floor without warning. It was an unpleasant surprise in my bedroom. So the only way to fill this humidifier is to remove the top and pour directly into the base. That's usually fine, but there's a small reservoir at the top that empties its contents if you tilt it slightly in any direction. This small pool of water will end up on your floor. I have to keep a towel next to it all the time, which doesn't look good. That being said, this is the most powerful ultrasonic humidifier I could find, so that's a plus.
