The hinged lid didn't fit well. This allows you to use two hands to hold the base and open the lid when opening and closing. As another reviewer mentioned, when closed, the lid goes past where it's supposed to stop. Also, the included butter knife definitely didn't stay on the lid, so don't even bother. I just put this cheap plastic knife in there along with the oil. Pooh. For the price I keep it to myself. If it cost more I would send it back.
