I like the multipurpose features and this will help you with the project, but the design is a bit imperfect. The extractor in the form of a rod allows the pigtail to rotate freely with the end fiber, changing the readings, not blocking as much light from external sources and breaking over time. Vfl - very low gear. The cat5/6 tester works great. Overall 2.5 out of 5 stars
