Review on MICHLEY LSS 202 2 Speed Sewing Machine by Kristen Simpson

It's not great, but it works! A NOTICE. ATTACHED IMAGE

Please note I have no experience with a sewing machine but this machine worked for me despite the recent FEW 1 star reviews stating it didn't work at all. It did exactly what I expected from a tiny $20 sewing machine and for the one off price of $20 it still gets 3 stars. Do not strive for fancy sewing. It has a very simple stitch. I've used it to make Halloween costumes that I only wear once and for small alterations. It also sews at a speed I would expect from something this cheap, but it was still 50x faster than that, what I did when sewing by hand. So I was happy. I hate that it's not like that. I don't have an instruction manual, but I found a video tutorial on YouTube ("LSS202 Sewing Machine Quick Start Guide") that was very helpful. It took me about an hour to really understand how threading works and how to get it to catch the spool, but once I figured it out it worked for me. Well here is a very important point I want to address to get the flow and how to video that I saw on YouTube working. When I inserted the coil at the top of the machine into this antenna-like extension, it didn't work at all. The thread broke and didn't even sew no matter what I put through the needle, and the thread broke. However, when I took the coil out of the "antenna" and just used the coil in the second place (shown in the attached picture), voila! it worked! The thread no longer broke and really sewed! It took me a long time to figure this out and it involved understanding how the machine was set up with the default thread. So I hope this helps some of you out there.
