I have to admit, I initially tried to save a few bucks and bought a cheaper nursing sheet from one of the big chain stores, thinking it would work the same way. I couldn't be more wrong. After using this cheap nursing cover ONCE I was put off by its cheap flimsy fabric and felt like I was trying to cover myself with a washcloth it was so small. So I gave in and ordered one of these Bebe Au Lait nursing blankets hoping it was worth the price. While you can always sew one yourself (or ask a friend who knows a sewing machine!), I found Bebe Au Lait worth the money. I think this fabric is beautiful and stylish! It's made with a lot more care and quality than the cheap version I bought first, so I don't recommend making the same mistake I did. There are few baby products that I think are worth the extra price - Boppy, Sophie the giraffe etc - and this product made the list. Simplify unobtrusive pad changing. The second pocket (since there are two of them!) I use for Latch Assist. The pockets are also lined with terry cloth so you can wipe away moisture, a fantastic detail! Yesterday I found that I can easily tighten the strap with one hand even when breastfeeding. The curved bones that let you see your baby being held well after being put in a diaper bag for a few weeks. After all, the main thing with this product is to cover up! The Bebe Au Lait is large enough to allow me to breastfeed comfortably in almost any setting while still being able to see my baby. I'm all for breastfeeding in public and moms are entitled to it, not all moms feel the need to cover up and I'm okay with that because breastfeeding is natural and beautiful. Despite this, many mothers prefer privacy and more personal modesty when breastfeeding, and this breastfeeding sheet is very helpful for us. I am very happy with this purchase, it will definitely be one of the first items I think of. Baby present for my friends!
