Review on Schmidts Natural Deodorant Ylang Ylang Calendula by Scott Adaymiln

A good product! - Deodorants and antiperspirants

While deodorants don't technically block sweat, they also don't expose us to all the metals and chemicals found in antiperspirants, particularly aluminum (which releases sweat-blocking salts), cyclomethicone (for quick drying), and moisturizers (for the swipe ability). The skin under the armpits (as well as under the tongue) is particularly prone to absorbing anything we apply there (and although the particle size of cyclomethicone is theoretically too large for absorption should aluminum penetrate). In addition, there are lymph nodes in the armpits that work hard enough to fight disease and infection in the body without having to deal with metals and chemicals. And even if you believe the research debunking the theory that aluminum in antiperspirants may increase Alzheimer's risk, the simple fact is that the sweat glands perform an important function: they allow the body to regulate its temperature. Therefore, like many others, I am grateful for alternatives like this product. I prefer it to Tom's or other brands mainly because of the divine blend of essential oils. A little harsh for my sensitive skin at first, but after a few uses it was fine. According to the instructions, I hold it briefly under my arm until it softens with body heat and can be distributed fairly well. Thank you Schmidt for creating this wonderful natural product with such a wonderful scent!
