I love these Czech shoes. I am a novice chainsaw user and I say this because I do not saw wood for a living. I've been cutting for over 20 years and have seen a working saw land on my knee (poor visibility). Having moved to an area where I burn wood for heating I decided to invest in a pair of these mainly because I like having two legs. These fit very well. They aren't as good as some of the more expensive pants but seem to get the job done. They don't offer any protection to the perineum, but if you have a saw in that area I'd say you're playing with fire. They feel fairly soft from the top of my thigh down to my ankle and extend over my boots for added protection. They are adjustable, I'm 6 feet tall with a 34 inch waist. I ordered the regular size 37 inches and they fit well. If you work with a chainsaw and love your legs, I highly recommend getting a pair of these. As I mentioned above they aren't the best in the line but for the amount of cuts I make them more than serve their purpose.
