Amazing features coupled with terrible bugs

When it works, this device is amazing. Great form factor, nice high resolution screen, fast processor and a pen that works better than I could ever have hoped for. In fact, I was just shocked at how easy it is to collect requirements and prototype user interfaces. The sad fact is that the device is riddled with defects: * Won't turn on: ** Need to hold power button for 30 seconds (Has been happening for two days in a row)** Or: Battery drains overnight, presumably in sleep mode ( no display on the screen, you have to guess and charge it)* Bluetooth drops out intermittently:** Special: a miniature Bluetooth keyboard (very useful when working with a pen in tablet mode)** Needs to restart ( sometimes only restarting the bluetooth service works) * Generic keyboard intermittently crashes: needs to be reconnected (sometimes more than once) * Windows welcome detector: boots slowly, sometimes recognizes me when I'm not in front of it (false positive), sometimes he doesn't recognize me at all, no matter where I am. The phone's fingerprint recognition (Nexus6P) works much better*. Touch sensitivity doesn't seem to be configurable: especially when reading magazines (Economist app), it's almost impossible for me to "click" a link or the next page with one touch. Instead I always get a swipe or pull down of the rightmost Windows Action Center bar. Extremely annoying. * On startup (fixed in some updates): Hide taskbar option wasn't working, so it was always hidden or always shown and there was nothing in between * One note (MS app I use with pen): ** Sometimes randomly solved to erase half of the strokes I drew on the current page. Had to turn off cloud sync to fix the problem. ** Attempting to switch between a personal account and a work account (fully licensed) was a complete failure. Not only could I not grant access to the licensed version, but I was also able to reset the password on Surface Pro 4 and not just this application. Surprise! This was done during an at work demo to evaluate the suitability of this device for design collaboration. There are no sales. My memory is very poor, so the above shortcomings are just what I can easily remember. These shortcomings surprised me because I gave my dad a Surface Pro 3 a year before I bought this Pro 4. The Pro 3 still works reliably today.
