I have used a 3M headlight restoration kit in the past but the yellowing and clouding keeps coming back. I chose this kit because of the included ceramic coating, which is primarily intended to protect the plastic from yellowing environmental influences. In general it seems to work well, although I have better clarity with the 3M kit. Although I'm not sure I didn't sand the old finish enough. One complaint concerns the polishing paste that comes with the kit. It is impossible to squeeze any product out of small bottles. I had to dig it out of the bottle. Also, instructions are not included and must be downloaded from the Opt7 website. It's not really a problem, just be aware. Another thing to keep in mind is that the ceramic coating needs 24 hours to cure and should be kept clean and dry during that time. It is also important to remember that ceramic coatings require care, they really are not applied and are not forgotten for years, despite the manufacturer's claims. The actual inspection is due in a few months to ensure that the headlights are still clean.
