Bought this for my little one when she lost her earring. She had reacted to nickel before, so I wanted hypoallergenic earrings. It's also great that it's a screwdriver, so it's a little harder to lose your spine. Although one has come out before, I don't think I completely screwed it up. The stem is thicker than we're used to and the screw at the bottom of the earring is quite short so hopefully your child doesn't have thick earlobes or it will be difficult to screw it all the way in. I was expecting the back to be thin enough to screw fully into the piercing hole like it used to. But it is also a good alternative. I'm just glad we didn't have an allergic reaction or infection which was the main issue.
