upset. - Accessories and supplies

I ordered this to use headphones with my iPhone 11. Thank you Apple for removing the simplest accessory jack to force users to buy adapters. The very first time I plugged this adapter into my phone, the phone came up with a warning that water was detected in the lightning socket. I have NEVER seen this before and have owned Apple products since the 4th generation. So I dropped the phoneโ€ฆ. made sure there was no water in the jack. My phone doesn't go near water so it's really puzzling. After leaving the phone for about 30 minutes, I was able to connect the accessory to the phone with no issues. I plugged the headphones into the adapter and noticed a constant hissing noise. I didn't find it that bad since I use my headphones to mute the mower, but I wasn't expecting to hear background noise just listening to music. That was never a problem with my headphones. After 20-30 minutes the noise was completely gone. I pulled the phone out of my pocket and the accessory broke in the Lightning jack connector. Just a bad experience for me. i will return it
