It doesn't work, you can't use the audio jack while charging, so what's the point? UPDATE: complete nonsense. Worked intermittently until the connector in the phone broke. Just a couple of weeks.

I've tried several of these babies and so far so good. Generally no complaints. I'm just a little skeptical about adapters. Some say OEM standards but we all have different versions of it. I'm doing well !

I just bought it last November. At first I was impressed with the performance. I soon changed my mind when they failed to perform one by one. My wife and I have had iPhones for a little over 6 months so don't think it was our phones. I don't know what I was thinking, but I decided to buy again because I thought they probably improved. I had exactly the same problem. Due to laziness on my part, I have never returned any of my purchases. Oh, and I won't be buying them again.

There was a lot of background noise when using this adapter. It's technically workable, but it's a horrible experience and probably bad for your hearing. I throw this one away. Description says it works with iPhone 11 and iOS 14. (I have both) Description says it's "Apple MFi Certified". (HA! I doubt it) The description says it supports volume and call controls. Multiple photos show use with Apple 4-wire headphones with volume and call controls. While it claims to work, it does NOT work with Apple's 4-wire headphones. It only works with standard 3-wire headphones. (The charging port works, but you don't need an adapter for it.)

It started out as a two pinion adapter. When used with headphones, all sounds created background hum, especially at low volumes. This noise was quite annoying and made listening with the adapter installed much less pleasant. The hum is no longer an issue because after less than a week of use my phone says it can no longer detect this accessory and the audio will not play. headphones when in use. The product arrived quickly, which I appreciate. It works great as an adapter to use third party headphones, which I prefer because Apple's current headphone design sucks. They are plastic and literally slip out of your ears. So I prefer regular earbuds with rubber tips that fit snugly in my ears. The problem with the device is that when I use it to charge my phone and listen through my headphones, there is a lot of interference. There is a loud static noise when listening and charging.
