Review on VuePoint Flat Panel Mount FPM10B by Jeremy Levendusky

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Frustrating setup

The quality of this mount is decent, but the design leaves something to be desired. You should insert two screws into the stud but leave about 1/2 inch sticking out. Then attach the TV to the Vuepoint wall mount. Then take the TV with the wall bracket attached and hang it on the two studs that were previously inserted into the stud. With any luck, you'll get a two-screw mount without your TV falling off. Then your luck should continue. At this stage it's almost impossible to get to the anchor bolts, but you'll need to drive them the last 1/2 inch into the wall. It might not be that bad for a smaller TV, but it was next to impossible for my 30-inch TV. But even if I could get to the screws, they are driven by an Allen key (included). That's ridiculous. Keep in mind that at this point it's quite difficult to hammer the bolt in since it's inside the bolt. It is also almost impossible to get there. Now a real wrench would be handy, but it's a round head hex bolt and broke off almost immediately. After I calmed down a bit, I called the support, who kindly informed me that they would be late (still 1 week waiting) to send me two new bolts. The last 1/2 inch of the lag screw is not too tight. I wanted it to be tight because I figured it would mean a good secure fit, but if the screw is difficult to turn the hex wrench will likely come loose and you'll "screwed" like me. If you can pull it off, it's strong enough to hold the TV securely, but the design is poor. R. That's probably why it's half the price of others I've seen.

Pros
  • Heavy-duty steel construction provides extreme strength, rigidity and durability
Cons
  • The list goes on.
